On August 17, 2012 after 120 years of ministry, extended time was invested in fasting, prayer and seeking God’s guidance. We are extremely blessed to transform “Friendship Missionary Baptist Church” into a non-denominational worship center, “Thee Living Word”. The name “Thee Living Word” was founded on love, God’s Word, and a passion for humanity. It continues to operate with this same spirit of purpose today. As a result, “Thee Living Word” has become one of the fastest growing churches in the region and continues to experience remarkable growth.
On September 12, 2010 Pastor Thomas was recognized for his Kingdom Building Work with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the C.E. Sullivan Theological Seminary in Douglas, Georgia.
